today announced its official launch to the
marketplace.
Atalum was founded in 2003 by entrepreneurs

in embedded systems and LR-WPAN (Low Rate
Wireless Personal Area Networks) technology.
Atalum is led by Sandra L. Wear whose technology
career includes founding a company named one
of the Top 100 Emerging Companies by Computerworld
(subsequently acquired by a public company
for a record amount) and the launch to market
of award-winning patented business applications
for Fortune 500 companies.

Atalum will begin pilots in early 2005. Atalum
maintains headquarters in Madrid, Spain, to
leverage the strong engineering expertise
available but plans to open offices in its
target markets (North America, Europe, Asia)
in the near-term.
